My Students

I work with 11 students in grades 3-5 in the Autism program. These students are exceptional and absolutely love technology, robots, and building things in Minecraft after school. We wanted to get a MakerBot 3D printer for our classroom to give our students the opportunity to learn about 3D printing, develop programming, engineering, and social skills that will significantly expand their career opportunities later in life.

My Project

My students will be able to learn job skills that are in high demand and will be able to engage in meaningful project-based learning that will vastly expand their engineering and design skills in a fun and engaging way. My students will develop important communication and collaboration skills as they work together to design and print their creations. When my students are comfortable with 3D printing, We will invite the other classes to demonstrate 3D printing and give them the opportunity to share this amazing technology with their peers.
