We are in a mostly low-income/high-poverty school district, with many of my students facing several challenges both in and out of the classroom. All students in our district are offered free breakfast, lunch and a healthy snack at school daily. We strive to make school an enjoyable experience where all students feel safe and engaged. As their teacher, I aim to foster their curiosity and love of learning.
My Project
Kleenslate customizable whiteboards will allow my students to better participate while working in whole groups, small groups and independently. Whiteboards are used in our classroom on a daily basis. They are a great tool for students to use to be actively engaged in a lesson. Each student having their own personal whiteboard with a handle allows me to quickly and easily assess student learning. With the Kleenslate whiteboards, all necessary materials are attached to each board. There is a spot on the handle for the marker to clip into and a ring with cleaning cloths attached. Having all the materials on the boards will save valuable class time previously spent passing out each individual supply.
