Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students come from diverse backgrounds and many from challenging family situations. In spite of this, our students come to school eager to learn and give their best every day. A school is a safe place where they learn all of the skills necessary to thrive.

Our school is a Title I school, and many of our families face many financial difficulties such as poverty, unemployment, and homelessness to name a few, that limit their ability to contribute toward extras at school.

My Project

It happens on a daily basis. Students mishear what I communicate and, therefore, misunderstand the meaning of what I was saying. Sometimes students will ask for clarification, but most of the time they won't and will remain confused about what was said.

Having a wireless pendant microphone and a wireless student microphone connected to our classroom speaker will eliminate/reduce confusion and enhance the learning experience in our learning community as well as reduce fatigue on my speaking voice.

This will help students better hear and understand what I am saying and it will also allow me to better hear and understand student responses.
