#Read91 Little FREE Outdoor Library: 24/7 Access to Free Books
Help me give my students and our KG neighboring community access to FREE books 24/7 with an amazing LITTLE FREE LIBRARY unit that will be built and stocked OUTSIDE on the Kelvin Grove School grounds near the LRC.
Our kids don't want to just "think outside the box" -- they want to "create a new box" -- and with THIS PROJECT: create a LITTLE FREE OUTDOOR LIBRARY box :)
Our students are amazing learners, curious about the local and global community and love hands-on, real-world curriculum connections and supplements.
Our district faculty and parents/guardians are wonderfully supportive of our kids -- and work collaboratively to implement solutions that consistently enhance educational services for our learners. My Project
Please help us improve book access for the D91 families, students and local community with a KG Little FREE Outdoor Library. With this amazing and sturdy weather-resistant outdoor unit, we can help provide our D91 families and KG kids continual 24/7 OUTDOOR access to reading materials -- even on weekends and when the school and public libraries are closed!
The KG Little Free Outdoor Library is not simply trendy, it's NECESSARY.
We value students and reading and understand that we need to serve our D91 reading community in innovative ways. Recent studies prove that "access to a 500-book library has as great an effect on the level of education a child will attain as having university-educated parents and caregivers" (Evan,Kelly, Sikora, Treiman.) The Little FREE Library concept serves a walk-up population 24 hours, 7 days per week.
