This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the school librarian of a racially and socioeconomically diverse community. Many of my students receive backpack food for the weekend, and about 65% of our families receive free or reduced meals at school. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful adults one day. I encourage them to dream big and give themselves the best gift they can receive - their education.

My Project

My Pre-kindergarten through grade 5 students love coming to the library to check out books, be read aloud to, do research, use digital technology, and participate in our STEAM makerspace. Wobble chairs will help many of our students be successful in their learning, which will boost their confidence to continue working hard every day.

Please help my students be the best learners they can be by funding our Wobble Chairs!

My younger students will use them during our whole group lessons and read aloud times. My older students will be able to use them at their tables to assist them with focusing on their work.
