The school I work for is small and is a very caring district. Our students have so much talent and are very hard working. The art program here helps the students grow in creativity and problem solving. All of our art projects can be linked to a core subject, thus helping them to retain the things they learn in other classes.
The students are driven by engaging projects and from having a variety of mediums to work with.
Having the opportunity to have resources available to our students will help us achieve the goals and produce projects. It will also showcase the abilities our students are capable of achieving.
My Project
Our school has many artistic students that love to explore all mediums of art. A few years ago I re-opened the ceramic department to allow students to explore more art options. Over the years our tools have had wear and tear, also we never had enough supplies for a full class. In addition our glazes are almost gone.
By helping provide us with these supplies we can continue our ceramics program that the students love so much.
These ceramic pieces will be used in art shows for several people to admire. The pieces they create will be something they can use and keep throughout their entire life.
