My second-grade classroom is a place of respect, encouragement, challenge, and discovery. Students spend this year learning the foundation of knowledge and skills they will need to be successful in their education and in life. The students are second-graders in a rural North Carolina elementary school.
They are eager readers!
I love their thirst for knowledge and excitement as we dive into new science subjects or historical stories. My second graders are also very math-minded. I love hearing their math explanations and reasoning. Best of all I have a very kind and respectful group of kiddos!
My Project
My students are wonderful readers! They enjoy humorous stories, historical books, mysteries, you name it! My students are excited to explore various literature during our self-selected and guided reading times. It is my goal to expand their capacity for learning using fiction and nonfiction text to enrich their vocabulary and knowledge! We are requesting fun books that will motivate my students to read at school and at home!
They enjoy reading just about anything they can if it involves doing it with their book club!
Interest is key to reading engagement and stamina in my second graders. I would love to provide them with these exciting titles for our classroom library and fun novels perfect for my second graders.
