Pod Casting in the Classroom

My students need a good quality USB microphone suitable for pod casting. The current mics they have available are unsuitable for recording materials at broadcast quality.

My Students

I teach in a school of predominantly low-income and low-opportunity students. We are a small rural High School with a limited technology budget. As educators and administrators, we are trying to change that limitation through innovative and imaginative funding.

Because of the background and environment that many of our students experience, they also tend to be unaware of the importance of being technology-literate.

We are also trying to change this culture by exposing the students to different technologies and giving them opportunities to work "hands-on" in fields that they might not otherwise consider in

order to foster interests in these fields and, hopefully, help our students find rewarding careers and more open minds.

My Project

My students are preparing to create a technology channel pod cast on the Internet. They need a moderately high quality microphone in order to record broadcast quality material to present during their pod cast.

The Yeti mic is a cost effective way to create good quality sound reproduction without breaking the budget.

It will allow my students to craft a professional quality presentation.

My students are learning about communications in the post-digital age. This is one of the newest and most effective ways to present material to a wide audience. You could really help my students if you donate. Thanks
