I need funding to attend the Pathfinders Summer Institute. I will spend one week learning about the integration of Computational Thinking and Computer Science into early elementary classrooms. Funds will cover travel, food, and registration.

I work as a Technology Integrationist for a district with eight elementary schools. On a daily basis, I am in classrooms co-teaching, leading lessons, coaching teachers, and creating lessons that integrate technology and computer science.
On average there are 600 students in each elementary school.
With a little over half of the population on free or reduced lunch. I work directly with teachers and students in eight elementary schools.
In addition, teachers are my students. Through co-teaching and coaching, I integrate technology into classrooms with teachers.
I will attend a week-long professional development workshop learning how to integrate Scratch JR (block-based programming app) and Kibo (robot) into early elementary classrooms.
We integrate Computer Science into our elementary classrooms.
In my current position as a Technology Integrationist, I work in a school district with eight elementary schools where 41 languages are represented. I work with teachers to integrate technology into their classrooms connected to state standards, ISTE standards, and CS framework. We work to empower our students.
This workshop will give me a deeper understanding and allow for our youngest students to make more connections. We currently have a few lessons for each grade level. I would like to develop more lessons that are connected into their content areas which will allow for more time of CS integration.
