My Students

I teach business and technology to some of the most creative, curious, and innovative students. My goal is to provide tech experiences to our students to promote 21st-century learning and skills with STEAM.

My students are very innovative and creative individuals.

Students in our district often have limited technology experience. My students will begin to discover and cultivate their creativity as they begin to apply their unique gifts and talents and allow them to become the innovators and global leaders of tomorrow with the stories they will be able to create and tell.

My Project

In the past year, I have worked hard to for my students to learn digital citizenship and expand on their learning of mobile technology using our classroom iPads and the world wide web for digital media. One of our drawbacks is that my students are unable to truly share their work without using our main classroom computer. While they are able to share their completed work with me, our work with mobile applications such as Bloxels, Screencastify and other mobile creation tools can only be screen recorded and shared with our group. Students aren't able to truly interact with their peers designs and innovation.

Having an Apple TV will allow us to mirror their iPad projects to everyone and have the class truly share their projects.

We are fortunate to have a direct wired connection by our classroom projector so we will not have to worry about loss of signal with the internet and having a changing security key will allow the class to share their work and not worry about others interrupting their presentations; and would in turn also teach students about needed security when it comes to mobile sharing.
